Lever caps assembly now finished

Sorry for the slow progress to those that are waiting, but life is not getting better at the moment. I have my mother’s funeral to go to next week and I also have to make a decision about whether to put down my very poorly dog.

  1. hi,
I have know of your exquisite planes for a good few years and have often lingered over images – particularly the contrast between the wood texture and the engineering precision of your metal fabrication.
I have signed up to comment just to rest a hand on your shoulder and to say – You will know the right time for your lovely dog to go.
I am sorry for your loss of your mother, we often have such a mix of feelings towards our parents, but the loss is deep – my father’s passing certainly felt that way.
There is nothing selfish about wanting to keep your Belgian with you – if your boy (I think its a boy) is feeding, drinking and able for the loo then there is no cruelty in keeping around (pain medication is very effective). I think only dog owners ‘get it’ about the bond we share with our dogs.
    I wish you well,
    steve hughes
