Hi

The No 982 adjuster that you can see on this blog is only a single thread. You can see it better on my web page here: http://www.holteyplanes.com/planes_No982.html. Though since taking this picture I have made a few revisions.

I have always favoured a single thread as it keeps station with the blade. I could never understand the Norris idea of using a left hand and right hand threads so both threads work to a common direction, this makes fine adjustments very difficult. In the past I have used two right hand threads as a differential but then there is a danger of the knob crashing into the top of the blade. Single threads are my favourite.

A blog on adjusters is now in the pipeline.

I noticed the threads on the adjuster are both right handed. Are they pitched differently? I would love to see a post about your thoughts on this aspect, i've never seen adjusters quite like yours. Fantastic work, as always.
