In the Workshop.
Work currently in progress includes my last batch of 4 A1 planes in a size I have never made before 14½". I have also started work on the small batch of 14½" No.98 planes - most of which are allready sold.

No.98 with Polymer Resin handles.

Here we have a very limited edition of No.98 planes with handles made from Polymer Resin, which in this form has the appearance of tortoise shell.

The resin is very difficult to work to this quality of finish and is more expensive in its raw state than wood, so for these reasons resin handles will not be a standard offering on No.98 planes.

Polymer resin has issues associated with brittleness to impact which anyone using it must be aware of, however this 'new materials' experiment has given me great insight and experience of working this fascinating substance.

Skew Mouth Shoulder planes.
I have all the parts required to make and finish a pair of skew mouth shoulder planes. I will photograph the project as it develops and post the pictures on the new Projects page.

Because of an order cancellation these planes are still available and as I have no intention of making any more of these planes, this is an opportunity to acquire a unique set.
