Block Plane Blades 
I have a quantity of 1 3/8" and 1 5/8" Block plane blades for sale at the following prices :1 3/8" Block Plane Blade A2 £46.00 (Plus VAT if applicable) 1 5/8" Block Plane Blade A2 £48.00 (Plus VAT if applicable) I have only a few of these left and no more scheduled. I have no A2 retro fit blades for the Bailey pattern planes either in 2" or 2 3/8", and no more scheduled. I have no stock of 2" and 2 3/8" retro fit blades in S53 but I will be making some more of these in the next few months. Blades for the Classic planes are still available. These blades are made from powder metallurgical steel, which has basically the same characteristics as the A2.
Tests have shown that the edge will last several times longer than the A2 blades, saving even more down time.
The blades are treated in a vacuum furnace to a high temperature to achieve a hardness of HRC64, they are also triple tempered and cryogenically treated. |
